INTRODUCTION
It is estimated that in 80% of workplace accidents, human behaviour in the form of an act or an omission is a contributory factor. This programme is designed to raise awareness of what effect behaviour can have in the working environment and how orgnisations can reduce injury rates by implementing behavioural based processes. Behaviour Based Safety (BBS) is an organisation’s planned intervention of behavioural science. Managements are adopting ISO 45001 to empower their manpower including contract workmen to be vocal in spot-correction of at-risk behaviours at workplace to achieve mission: Bharat Bane Surakshit (BBS). At-risk behaviours at sites reduced to less than 5%, and also the severity & frequency of incidents reduced significantly.
Behaviour based Safety is the application of science of behaviour change to real world problems. It “focuses on what people do, analyze why they do it and then applies a research-supported intervention strategy to improve what people do”.
This programme will discuss methodologies to implement a positive work culture based on best practices of successful organizations in order to ensure productivity and safety in all operations.
