Introduction
Employees Provident Fund & Miscellaneous provisions Act and ESI Act are the most important legislations in the arena of Labour jurisprudence . The Act is important for both the Employees and for the Employers. Almost all establishments faces some problem with effective implementation of these Acts due to lack of awareness about its features.
The objective of this workshop is to give better awareness about these acts through Lectures, Practical demonstrations and Q&A session.
COVERAGE
The workshop will discuss in detail the entire aspects of the Provident Fund Act including the three schemes.
- EPF Scheme 1952 & Employees’ Pension Scheme 1995.
- Employees deposit linked Insurance (EDLI) Scheme 1976 its features and the latest amendments .
- The applicability of the Act to the establishment, definition of Employee, Excluded employee.
- Common violations happening under the provident fund Act and the penalties imposed.
- Responsibility of Principal Employer & responsibility towards contract workers.
- Employees Pension scheme 1995 and higher pension option.
- Legal aspects of higher pension and analysis of Supreme Court judgement dated 4th November 2022.
- Establishment, Employee definition and Wages under ESI act
- Contribution period and benefit period under ESI act; Dependent benefits available under ESI
- Demonstration of obtaining Code no, Enrolment No.; Linking of Bank Account and Mobile No. and incorporating corrections like Name & DOB
