ABOUT THE EVENT

Objective is to showcase the improvements implemented by the Kaizen Teams of an organisation so as to motivate them to achieve more and at the same time encourage other organisations to move on continuous improvement path and to be the part of the Productivity movement in the country.

STRUCTURE OF THE EVENT

•  A team consists of 2 to 5 members from Industry or Service Sector can participate the Contest. More than one team from same organisation will be allowed.
• The Improvement made should be active and still effective on delivering desired benefits
• The improvement made should have an effect on Productivity Improvement of at least one of the Resources used like Manpower, Material, Machine, Energy etc. or improved the Work place   Safety or Environment Protection measures.
• Entries to be made in the form a Presentation by a team consisting of at least 2 members. Presentation to be made within a time duration of 15 minutes
• Eminent Panel of Judges will review the Presentation made and award Score. Judges may seek clarification or ask queries about the Presentation made to the Team members. No body else other than Judges is entitled to make queries or clarifications with the Team members.
• The Winners of the Contest will be declared by the Judges at the end of the competition, and top Three teams will be awarded with Cash reward and Certificates. In addition to the above, special Jury Awards will also be given.
• All the 3 winning teams will be invited for honouring and making presentation before Chief Guest and other dignitaries during Productivity Award function held at later stage.
  

KAIZEN PRESENTATION FORMAT           

Content of Presentation may be organised as given below  but not  mandatory

·        INTRODUCTION

Brief about Organisation and its Activities to be described in this slide. Title of the Improvement Project, Where (Area) the Improvement made, When it is implemented and Introduction of Team members and Function handled by them also to be included.

·        PROBLEM OR OPPORTUNITY FOR IMPROVEMENT IDENTIFIED

Brief explanation of Problem or Opportunity identified for improvement to be included in this slide. Include Photographs or Videos to show Pre-improvement State if available.

·        ANALYSIS DONE FOR IDENTIFYING DIFFERENT SOLUTIONS

Show the analysis made for identifying different Solutions to be shown in this slide. Tools like 5 why analysis, 7 QC Tools, 7 Wastes, ECRS (Eliminate, Combine, Rearrange, Simplify) etc can also be included which is optional.

·        SOLUTION IDENTIFICATION

Selected Final Solution for Implementation to be shown in this slide. The Criteria used for selection if available can also be included.

·        IMPLEMENTATION PHASE

Solution implementation Steps followed, Corrections made for Streamlining, Hurdles faced during implementation and how these are resolved etc can be shown in this slide. Inclusion of Before & After Implementation photograph or Videos would be ideal if available.

·        DIRECT BENEFITS DERIVED

Show the Monetary benefits gained or expected to gain in one year period after implementation to be calculated and shown here. If monetary benefits not derived list out the Direct non-monetary benefits obtained due to implementation of the improvement.

·        OTHER BENEFITS & SCOPE OF HORIZONTAL DEPLOYMENT

Other Indirect benefits resulted if any can be included in this slide. Also list out possible areas where similar implementations can be extended in future.

• Applications can be made Online or thru Email by providing Information such as Name of Organisation, Title of Improvement made, Area of Implementation, Measurable benefits derived or not, Month & Year of Implementation and No. of Team members involved to be furnished along with application.
•  KSPC may seek additional information about the Improvement if there is any lack of clarity on the information provided.

• Entry fee :   Non Member organisations                                        :  Rs. 8,500/- per Team 
• Entry fee for more than one Team from same organisation    :  Rs.6,500/- per Team
